Summary Statement

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a driven professional looking to advance their career in a consulting environment with international exposure. The successful candidate will have a role with scope across Asia and ideally based in our Singapore office.

In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and developing NMG Consulting’s key global insights related to the asset management industry. The primary duties include designing and implementing asset management strategies and insights for major markets in Asia, performing critical analysis, and generating valuable insights that will be delivered to global clients. Over time, you will develop into a subject matter expert and trusted adviser for asset managers and wealth managers positioned or entering Asia.

Immersion in our methodologies will be critical for success, along with the ability to articulate and debate key insights. You will work closely with senior colleagues to develop insightful analysis, strengthen client relationships, contribute to consulting projects, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing key deliverables of our global asset management programmes in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, including topic coverage, insights development, analytics review and articulate critical findings to clients

  • Collaborating with NMG specialists who manage similar programmes globally, ensuring application of global best practice

  • Work with senior stakeholders, third party contractors and project owners to develop and coordinate realistic project timelines and resourcing plans across multiple global insights projects, geographies and time zones

  • Proactively maintaining and building a network of wealth and asset management industry contacts and developing rapport with key client decision makers through engagement on topics and industry themes

  • Undertaking analysis, accessing our proprietary data sets to generate ideas and insights and contribute to NMG thought leadership

  • Living the NMG Values of Curiosity, Collaboration, Go for it and Make it Count in all interactions across the business, supporting and participating in a positive team environment locally and in your global interactions.

Competencies, Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a challenging professional learning environment, ideally within the finance, insurance, or asset management industries, or in consulting roles within these industries. Exposure to client management, strategy, or marketing functions would be advantageous

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and strong academic credentials. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Committed to high quality standards

  • Developing interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and interest in developing client relationships

  • Highly motivated to learn, collaborate and able to learn and work effectively across global teams

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with PowerBI, database management, and/or other programming languages is a plus

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be hands-on in delivering high-quality work

  • Multi-language skills (e.g. Chinese, Cantonese) are an added advantage
