Program Coordinator – Sydney

We have an opportunity for a Program Coordinator to support the Global Insights project managers by contacting target respondents and tracking interview activity for key projects.

Global Insights Consulting Practice is our largest business-line globally, runs evidenced-based consulting programmes, based on interviewing the leading industry experts, and key decision makers at buy-side clients and intermediaries annually, to analyse industry trends and the competitive performance and positioning of sell-side providers. The Global Insights Consulting practice conducts more than 50 evidence-based Insights Consulting Programmes annually, covering life insurance, wealth management, asset management and reinsurance, across all major financial services markets internationally.

Summary Statement

We have an opportunity for a Program Coordinator to support the Global Insights project managers by contacting target respondents and tracking interview activity for key projects. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and preferably some experience in the Financial Services sector. Being the first point of contact for respondents, you will be required to represent NMG appropriately and professionally at all times and reflect the NMG Values (Collaboration, Curiosity, Go for it! and Make it Count).

Based in Sydney, responsible for co-ordinating programmes across Australia and New Zealand, this position will suit an individual with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the project managers (Partners & Principals) to contact target respondents (via phone and email) to encourage participation in our programs (includes sending out initial email invitations)

  • Liaise with Associates & consultants on interviews scheduled, ensuring these are scheduled in diaries with relevant contact details (and interview forms submitted)

  • Track all interview activity (scheduled and rescheduled, completed, declines, delegations, referrals. etc.) in master program schedule

  • Provide updates on status regularly and follow up on action items

Competencies, Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

  • Possess good telephone skills/etiquette and traits required to encourage respondents to participate in the studies i.e. confident, persuasive, persistent, resilient and articulate

  • Tenacious, achievement-driven and a self-starter with ability to manage deadlines

  • Confident to interact with senior management, financial advisers & industry leaders.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office technical abilities

  • Experience in the Financial Services sector including Asset Management &/or Insurance (preferred, not essential)
