Summary Statement

We are seeing an HR Executive to support our Human Capital function across Southeast Asia. This role offers exposure to a broad range of HR activities, including recruitment, employee lifecycle management, HR programs and legal documentation support.

Reporting into the Human Capital Business Partner based in Sydney, this position is well suited to someone who is detail orientated and takes pride in delivering high-quality, accurate HR support. You will play a key role in ensuing HR processes are executed efficiently and in line with company policy, whilst supporting the smooth running of the day-to-day operations across multiple offices.

​Working closely with the Human Capital Business Partner and Legal Counsel, you will be a trusted point of contact for HR queries and a reliable coordinator of HR programs and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • ​Human Capital Function:

  • Act as the first point of contact for Human Capital queries for colleagues in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Philippines and Sri Lanka demonstrating a strong and applied understanding of company policies and procedures

  • Support the end-to-end recruitment and selection processes for NMG’s offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Sydney. This may include CV screening, initial telephone interviews, psychometric testing administration, interview co-ordination with hiring managers and liaising with recruitment agencies, all the while updating candidates to ensure a positive experience

  • Support the administration and management of Human Capital programs including Employee Recognition & Reward, Employee Benefits, Staff Engagement Surveys, Performance Planning & Reviews, Learning & Development and Employee Communications and Events

  • Managing and supporting HR lifecycle administration, database and systems, employee benefits platforms, preparation of HC documentation (employment agreements, variation letters, verifications, on and off boarding etc) and maintenance of employee files

  • Assist with the application and follow up for work visa applications and renewals as applicable. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Human Capital deliverables, ensuring consistency, accuracy and efficiency in delivery

  • Working in regular liaison with other global support functions including Operations, Legal, Finance, Administration and IT. Compile monthly Human Capital metric packs, reporting on key performance indicators such as headcount, turnover, gender ratios etc. Living the NMG Values of Curiosity, Collaboration, Go for it and Make it Count in all that you do

  • Legal Function:

  • Prepare initial drafts of formal employment and independent contractor agreements. Support the preparation and coordination of legal documentation on an ad-hoc basis using templates, in collaboration with Legal Counsel

Competencies, Qualifications & Experience

  • Ideally 2-4 years’ experience in an HR or HR-related role. Formal qualifications (completed or ongoing) in a Human Capital or Legal related discipline would be highly advantageous

  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal proficiency in English required) able to speak confidently with stakeholders across different roles and cultures

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a matrixed working environment. Highly motivated to learn, and ability to work independently

  • Excellent attention to detail, extremely organised and structured approach with high quality standards

  • Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams with strong attention to detail

  • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
