NMG Corporate Giving Program – Charity Challenge
About the Charity Challenge
Every year, we host the Charity Challenge, a group-wide approach to charitable giving which originated in 2010 to combine NMGers’ love of sport with an already strong social conscience felt by many across the group. The money raised by all NMG employees around the world provides the most basic needs of food and shelter, as well as supporting education and job training to break the cycle of poverty for vulnerable children and their families. The funds raised through NMG’s Charity Challenge go to three worthy causes:
- Elundini Educare (Cape Town)
- Tembisa Child Welfare (Johannesburg)
- Uviwe (Port Elizabeth)
These charities work to support over 250 at-risk children in the Johannesburg and Cape Town areas. Each runs a very impressive centre to house, feed, clothe, educate and rehabilitate children who have been neglected, disabled, abused, orphaned or abandoned.

Fundraising efforts for the charities
NMG will match every dollar, pound, euro and rand raised, doubling the value of your donation. The monetary contribution from NMG each year provides a welcome respite from the constant financial struggles these organisations face to survive and thrive.
