Independent Consultant – China/Taiwan (Re/insurance)

Summary Statement

We now have an opportunity for an Independent Consultant to work with NMG on delivering our Life & Health reinsurance program in China/Taiwan. Each program requires executive-style interviews to be undertaken with key decision makers who are involved in reinsurance placement decisions.

It is envisioned that this role will be performed on a part time contract basis, from May to July, with the potential to contribute on an annual basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews with decision makers who influence business decisions and reinsurance placement decisions, including division heads, actuaries and underwriters within the China/Taiwan life insurance industry

  • Utilise your network to identify executives appropriate to participate in studies

  • Support NMG’s strategy and insights consulting practice in understanding the key themes and insights from the research study

Competencies, Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry, well-networked within the life insurance industry

  • Ability to form relationships and gauge the thinking of key decision makers

  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, with fluency in both English and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional); the ability to speak Cantonese would be a bonus

  • Ability to work effectively with a global team of consultants

  • Excellent attention to detail and high-quality standards
