2025 P&C Re brand highlights

• Five reinsurer brands continue to dominate in Asia led by Swiss Re, followed by Munich Re, Hannover Re, SCOR and Lloyd’s
• Regional reinsurers featured prominently among leading brands, Korean Re, China Re, and Taiping Re rounding out the Top 10
• AXA XL Re received the largest ratings uplift among the Top 10, and
• Alongside Everest Re and TransRe, were the only three reinsurers to achieve ranking improvements in two consecutive years
• Mapfre Re was the biggest mover in 2025, climbing nine places

Factors evaluated include the unaided perspectives of insurers and reinsurance brokers as to the ‘best-quality’ reinsurer brands overall, as well as any distinct preferences for specialist expertise at the line of business level.
